18/10, 18/8 or 18/0 Stainless Steel Cutlery?
High Quality -18/10 Stainless Steel is the highest level of quality containing 18% chromium which provides the stainless steel with strength and durability, whilst the 10% nickel content provides shine and rust resistance. All DineByDesign stainless steel products are 18/10 stainless steel.
Medium Quality - 18/8 Stainless Steel is the most commonly used stainless steel which contains 18% Chromium and 8% Nickel. Although better quality than 18/0, it is not as rust and acid resistant as 18/10.
Low Quality - 18/0 Stainless Steel does not contain any nickel. Consequently it is not very resistant to acidic foods and may rust as it is a poor quality of stainless steel.
